Memphis Grizzlies draft Zach Edey with 9th pick

The Grizzlies get their center with 7'4" Zach Edey out of Purdue.

After much anticipation, the Memphis Grizzlies select Zach Edey with 9th pick of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Zach Edey’s dominance cannot be denied. He’s an automatic bucket when he’s in the paint. People are skeptical of his NBA transition. His role will be simple. He gobbles up rebounds and will be an effective screen. I’m curious to see how his rim protection pans out, as he didn’t block a whole lot of shots as a 7’5” big man. Edey and Morant can make for a dangerous pick-and-roll combination. Edey and Jaren Jackson Jr. will make for a massive frontcourt.

Everyone will have their eyes on him.
